Shortly after my dad died,my mother-in-law sent cookie cutters to our house in the shapes of tools. We were going to bring them up for Christmas to make cookies with the cousins to remember Grandpa. Since the flu hit our house and we were stuck at home then,we never made them. Finally we got around to it with just our kids this week and it was a lot of fun!
Both kids helped me mix up the cookies…
Megan helped cut them out,and both kids were eager to frost them. Here is Nick’s pliers that he’s eating…
And Megan is posing with her wrench and round cookie (we gave up after a while and just rolled out cookies and she mashed them with a cup –she calls them the snowflake cookies!)
It was a lot of fun,the cookies were yummy, and it was a great way to remember Grandpa.
