Sewing projects

I don’t like to have too many projects going at one time.  It overwhelms me and I end up not getting any of them done.  Because of that,I often have projects lined up to do.  I’ve been working on another snake for a silent auction that we’re having at church in a couple weeks and I have had sewing projects lined up for when I finished. First,I wanted to make some crayon rolls to also sell at the silent auction. They’re great to use at church, waiting in restaurants,or at a doctor’s office. I love them!! Project #1

Second,I took down the sheers in the living room a couple weeks ago to wash them and both Adam and I loved all the light that came in but since our house is so close to the neighbor’s,we didn’t want to just leave the curtains off altogether.  I suggested that I make some straps to tie back the curtains during the day and then we can put them back down again at night.  Project #2

Curtains down,curtains up

Then while Adam was doing truck work this past weekend,he mentioned that his combination wrenches needed new storage.  The ratcheting ones weren’t staying in their cases and the others had cases that were falling apart.  (These will get labels on the yellow pieces of fabric with my fabric marker.  Just wasn’t sure what the heck they were called.)  Project #3

combination wrench and ratcheting combination wrench, metric and standard

While I absolutely love having these projects done,it’s almost depressing.  I love knitting, but my first love is sewing and I’m good enough at it now that the projects that pile up still don’t take much time.  I did all of this in about 4 hours today!  Now I’m out of sewing projects but still want to sew!  Such a bummer!!

OKay,I LOVE those crayon rolls! Erynn got one for Christmas last year and it just makes my life easier when we go out to eat or somewhere that I need to keep her entertained! I cannot believe you did all of that sewing in 4 hours! I want to learn how to sew,but just can’t seem to get other things done to sit down and learn. Maybe when the kids go to school…maybe! :)
