The trial run is over. It is 9:40 and Nick is finally quiet for the night - after giving him his missing dose of Prevacid (which won't help him tonight, of course, but will get the higher dose back in his body so that the following days will hopefully not be so bad) and a dose of Maalox (for immediate relief) for his sore belly, he's finally sleeping. I'm so discouraged...
On a more promising note, we know we have meds that do help him feel better and he is completely without symptoms when he's on them AND it took many days before we noticed that he was having reflux problems again. If we'd missed a dose in the past, it was an immediate thing that we noticed.

I hate having to do such experiments with my kid (we do occasional food things with Keston to see if he's becoming more tolerant), but how else do you know? Sorry that he hasn't fully gotten over it, but at least he's improved and that's the important thing. Eventually, eventually. :) At least for now you know how to stop it completely which helps more than anything.
