We had playgroup here this morning and had a fantastic time! The only downfall was that the kids were very wound when everyone left around 1:45. I put them in bed anyway and went down to do my workout. After finishing, I was heading upstairs to have some words with Megan because I had heard thumping the entire time I was downstairs and I wanted her to keep it down so that she didn’t wake her brother up. I went in her room and my daughter was sitting quietly in bed reading books. She was doing nothing wrong. It was when I was in her room that I heard the thumping again… it was coming from her brother’s room. Grrr… Nick typically falls asleep within about 5 minutes of putting him in bed during naptime.
I went into Nick’s room and while I could still hear thumping, I couldn’t see him anywhere! Now, this room is incredibly small – I would have thought it was impossible to lose someone in it. Silly me.
Momma: Nick, where are you?
Nick: Momma, I stuck.
Grrr… Nick was laying *under* his bed fishing out all of his stuffed animals, books, cars and everything else that was down there. That little stinker. I shared with him the words that I had come up prepared to share with his sister. He is laying quietly now – 35 minutes before I need to wake him up.
