Megan is scared. Megan is nervous. Megan is TERRIFIED.
I’ve always known that Megan doesn’t do well with change or transition. Preparation usually helps it a lot but never makes it perfect. Since we’ve passed Christmas,talk of the end of the school year,of summer and inevitably of starting Kindergarten starts and Megan is so scared. It finally blew up today on the way home from preschool (which I subbed for and had a great time!) and Megan started sobbing. She was going to miss her Puppy dog,she was going to miss us,she was going to not know how to go to school all day every day…
I have no doubt in my mind that Megan will do great at school. I have no doubt that she’ll have no problem making friends. I just dont’want her to be scared. I plan to start checking out books from the library,as soon as the weather warms up a bit that is where we will go to the ‘park’and we will take every opportunity to drive by her school but what else do we do? Any ideas out there?
Have you read the kissing hand. My kids love that one. Brenna has no fear of Kindergarten right now,but that could change as it gets closer. I am nervous though!
