I just don’t know how people managed in minivans without keyless entry (not to mention sliding doors)!! I love my Chevy Uplander but the remote has been dropped several times (who doesn’t do that??) and it no longer works. In order to get the kids in the car, I need to go to the driver’s side door to unlock it, open Megan’s door, go around to open Nick’s door, shut Nick’s door and then go around, buckle Megs and shut her door. Sounds stupid, but I miss being able to skip the first couple steps so that Megan can get herself in and I can drop the heavy Nick in his car seat rigth away.
Luckily I have a wonderful husband who has gotten an appointment to get remote start put in my van next week and that will come with new remotes. Yay! I can’t wait until things work as they’re supposed to again!
OK gotta get the kids in bed for their naps – I just had to celebrate for a minute.
